Device Management: see and sign out devices, trust a device
Device Management
Device Management lists devices that are signed in to your account: "Manage devices currently signed in to your account."
Where to find it
Security, lower section Device Management.
What each device shows
- Device name, browser and operating system, location and a partly hidden IP address.
- "Last Active" date and time.
- Badge Current for the device you are using, Trusted for other devices that are trusted.
- A coloured dot on the device icon: green = active, red = revoked, orange = expired.
The current device is listed first, then the others by last activity. Ten devices appear per page. If nothing is found you see "No devices found".
Sign out one device
- Click the sign-out icon (Sign Out) on the device. It is available for other active devices only.
- Confirm: "Are you sure you want to sign out" followed by the device name in the "Sign Out Device" window.
- You see "Device signed out". Failure: "Failed to sign out device".
Sign out all other devices
When more than one device is listed a button Sign Out All Others appears. The window "Sign Out All Devices" says: "Are you sure you want to sign out all other devices? You will remain signed in on this device." The result shows the number of devices followed by "device(s) signed out".
Trust a device
- Click the shield icon (Trust) on another active device that is not yet trusted.
- In "Trust Device" read: "Trusting" followed by the device name, then "will skip 2FA verification for future sign-ins from this device."
- Enter the 6-digit code ("Enter 2FA Code") and click Trust.
- You see "Device is now trusted". Failure: "Failed to trust device".
Only trust devices you own and control. You need an authenticator code to trust a device.
Unknown device?
If you see a device or location you do not recognize, sign it out with Sign Out, then change your password and review other security settings. See the compromised account article. Signing out a device ends its session but does not change your password.
FAQ
Q: I cannot sign out the Current device here. A: Use your normal sign-out ("Sign Out" in the account menu).
Q: A device I used shows Expired. A: The app marks its session as expired (orange dot) and offers no actions for it.
Q: Why is the location different from where I live? A: Location is estimated from the IP address and can be inaccurate (for example with a VPN).
