Sign in or sign up with a crypto wallet

Account

You can use a crypto wallet instead of an email and password. The first time you sign in with a new wallet, BYNAI creates an account for it; after that the same wallet signs you in to the same account. Signing only proves you own the wallet. The window says "Signature only — no gas fee", so it does not send a transaction and costs nothing.

Web3 sign-in currently supports EVM chains only. If you pick Solana the window says: "Web3 sign-in currently supports EVM chains only. Solana support coming soon."

Where to find it

  • Top bar: Connect Wallet (opens the sign-in window; the title is "Sign In" with "Use a wallet or your account to continue"), or Register Now / Log In.
  • On the Sign In and Create Account pages: the Connect Wallet button below "Or continue with".
  • Inside the window, the wallet section is Continue with wallet with two steps: Step 1 "Select chain" and Step 2 "Select wallet".

Step by step

  1. Open the sign-in window and look at Continue with wallet.
  2. In Select chain choose the network your wallet will use. Available chains are Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Base (the exact list shown comes from BYNAI). Your last choice is remembered on this browser. If no chain is picked yet you see "Select a chain first to see supported wallets".
  3. Under Select wallet choose a wallet:
    • Wallets installed in your browser are labelled Browser Extension.
    • WalletConnect is labelled Mobile / QR and connects a phone wallet.
  4. Approve the connection in your wallet ("Connecting..."; then "Wallet connected").
  5. Approve the signature request ("Sign to continue" / "Signing..."). A signed request shows "Signature verified. Completing sign-in..." and the window closes.
  6. If the account needs extra verification you will then see the Security Verification screen (see the verification article).

If you opened a referral/invite link before signing up, the code is attached automatically when a new wallet account is created (see the referral code article).

Wrong network

If your wallet is on a different network than the chain you selected, a yellow banner says "Wrong network detected. Switch to the selected chain to continue." Click Switch Network and approve in your wallet.

Switching wallet, account or chain

  • Switching account in your wallet: BYNAI signs the old account out and asks you to sign in again with the new address. You must approve a new signature.
  • Changing the chain in the BYNAI window while a wallet is connected disconnects it so you can reconnect on the new chain.
  • Disconnecting or locking the wallet (or removing all accounts) also signs you out of BYNAI. This is intended so the page never shows a signed-in account without a connected wallet.
  • To leave on purpose, sign out from the user menu (Sign Out). Signing out also clears the wallet connection in the browser.
  • If your wallet is connected but you are not signed in yet, the top-bar button changes to "Continue as {wallet}" (your wallet name or address). Click it to finish signing in. The top bar also has a chain selector for choosing the network before you connect.

Wallet accounts and email

Your Account page notes: "This account signs in with a Web3 wallet. Linked email/phone are for verification and notifications only." You cannot use that email and a password to sign in. Use the same wallet and the same address each time; a different address is a different account.
