Sign out, stay signed in, and manage devices

How to sign out

  • Top bar: open your user menu (your avatar/name) and click Sign Out. On a phone the same button is at the bottom of the menu drawer. While it works the button shows "Loading...".

What happens when you sign out:

  • BYNAI ends your session and clears your account data from the browser.
  • If you signed in with a wallet, the wallet connection is cleared too.
  • If you were on a private page (your account, wallet, balances or orders area) you are taken to the home page. On a public page, such as the markets or the trading page, you stay where you are and the page switches to its signed-out look.
  • Other tabs of BYNAI open in the same browser are signed out as well.

Signing out does not cancel orders, close positions or stop agents you have running. Check them before you sign out if that matters to you.

Why you may be signed out automatically

BYNAI renews your session in the background while you use it. You are signed out when the session cannot be renewed (for example because it has ended), when you sign out in another tab of the same browser, or when a wallet account loses its wallet connection (wallet disconnected, locked, or switched to another account).

The app has no special "session expired" screen for email accounts. Pages that need an account then show "Sign in to see your account" with a sign-in button. Wallet sign-ins can show Session expired. Reconnect your wallet. Sign in again with the same method to continue. The app does not state how long a session lasts.

Account > Security: your devices

Open Account Security and find Device Management ("Manage devices currently signed in to your account.").

  • Current marks the device you are using now.
  • Trusted marks a device you trusted before.
  • Each device shows Device, Last Active, IP Address and Location where available. "No devices found" appears if the list is empty.
  • Sign Out (button on a device) opens "Sign Out Device": "Are you sure you want to sign out {device}?" and then shows "Device signed out".
  • Sign Out All Others asks: "Are you sure you want to sign out all other devices? You will remain signed in on this device." Afterwards: "{count} device(s) signed out".
  • Trust opens "Trust Device": "Trusting {device} will skip 2FA verification for future sign-ins from this device." You enter your 2FA code (6 digits). Success: "Device is now trusted". Only trust a device you own and control.
  • Errors: "Failed to sign out device", "Failed to trust device". A message from the server may appear instead.

If you see a device you do not recognise, sign it out, change your password and review your two-factor setup. Contact Support.

Account Activity

Below the devices, Account Activity ("Recent security activities and sign-in history.") lists Time, Event and Status. Events include Sign In, Failed Sign In, Change Password, Enable 2FA and Disable 2FA; the status is Success or Failed. IP and location are shown when available. Click See All for the full list.

Use it to check whether a sign-in attempt you did not make has happened.

FAQ

I clicked Sign Out but still see my account. Refresh the page. If you still appear signed in, clear the site data in your browser and contact Support if it continues.

Will signing out other devices log me out here? No. You stay signed in on the current device.

I am asked to sign in again often. If you use a wallet, check that it stays connected and unlocked. The app does not give other reasons; contact Support with the details below.

How do I sign out of a shared computer? Use Sign Out, then close the browser. Do not trust shared devices.

Safety reminder

Never share your password, 2FA or email codes, seed phrase or private key. BYNAI staff will never ask for them.

When to contact Support

Include your UID, the device and browser you use, what you were doing when you were signed out, the exact message, the time, and a screenshot.
