Futures orders, positions, and profit or loss
Orders and positions
An order is an instruction to trade. An open position represents exposure after trades execute. Canceling an unfilled order does not close a position created by earlier fills.
Review the correct contract and account, then check open orders, order history, and positions separately. Before closing or reducing a position, read the order direction, quantity, and any reduce-only setting shown in the order form.
Estimated and realized results
Unrealized profit or loss changes while a position remains open. It is not the same as a completed trade result or your available balance. Fees and funding can also affect the account result, so compare the position, completed trades, and income history rather than a single chart value.
Leverage increases exposure and the risk of liquidation. Review the margin and liquidation information shown for your position. If a figure appears inconsistent, send Support the contract, position or order reference, and time of the observation.
