Withdrawal whitelist: turn it on or off and how it affects withdrawals

Withdrawal whitelist

The withdrawal whitelist limits where your money can be sent. The app says: "When enabled, your account can only withdraw to whitelisted addresses." and "Disabling the whitelist will allow withdrawals to any address. This may reduce your account security."

Where to find it

Settings > card Withdrawal > Withdrawal Whitelist. It shows On or Off and a button Enable or Disable. A link Address Management opens your saved addresses (Address Management). The whitelist switch is not on the Security page.

Turn it on

  1. Click Enable. The window is titled "Enable Withdrawal Whitelist" with the warning "Once enabled, your account can only withdraw to whitelisted addresses."
  2. Complete the "Security Verification" shown (see the verification codes article).
  3. You see "Whitelist Enabled" and "Withdrawal whitelist has been enabled."

Turn it off

  1. Click Disable. The window is titled "Disable Withdrawal Whitelist" with the warning "Disabling the whitelist will allow withdrawals to any address. This may reduce your account security."
  2. Complete the verification.
  3. You see "Whitelist Disabled" and "Withdrawal whitelist has been disabled."

If it fails you see "Update Failed" and "Failed to update withdrawal whitelist setting." (or the reason from the server). Try again; if it repeats contact Support.

How withdrawals behave

Whitelist on. On the Withdraw page the address field is read-only with the hint "Select a whitelisted address". A box "Whitelist Protection" explains: "Withdrawals are only allowed to whitelisted addresses. This protects your assets from unauthorized transfers." Choose a saved address for the selected network.

  • If no address matches the network: "No whitelisted addresses for this network", with Add Whitelist Address and Manage Addresses.
  • New addresses are not usable at once. The app says: "New addresses will have a 24-hour activation delay for security." and "This address is pending activation. Wait 24 hours after adding." The list shows "Pending" and "This address will be active in" followed by the hours left, then "hours".
  • If you pick a pending address: "Selected address is pending activation. Wait or select an active address." If none is selected: "Select a withdrawal address".

Whitelist off. The Withdraw page shows "Address Verification": "Whitelist is not enabled. You can withdraw to any address. Enable whitelist for extra security." with Enable Whitelist, and you can use "Direct Input" ("Enter and verify the recipient address manually").

Network names used when you pick an address: ERC20 addresses are saved under Ethereum (ERC20), BEP20 under BNB Smart Chain (BEP20), TRC20 under Tron (TRC20).

Related restrictions

Adding a new whitelist address starts a temporary withdrawal restriction with the reason "New Whitelist Address" on the Security page. See the withdrawal cooldown article.

FAQ

Q: Should I turn it on? A: It is an extra protection. It limits withdrawals to addresses you have saved, so a stranger who gets into your account cannot send funds to a new address immediately.

Q: My new address shows Pending. A: Wait for the activation time shown, or use an address that is already active.

Q: I can't find my address in the list on the Withdraw page. A: The list only shows addresses for the selected network. Pick the correct network or add the address.

Q: Funds already sent to a wrong address? A: The app warns: "Double-check the withdrawal address and network. Transactions cannot be reversed once confirmed." Contact Support with the details; do not expect a reversal.
